The notorious 50th Hunger Games saw a particularly cruel twist; twice the number of normal tributes to be reaped. There were many competitors this year but an underdog from District 12, Haymitch Abernathy, proved his skill with finding water and working with knives in training. Haymitch formed an alliance in the late stages of the Games with the only other living tribute from 12, Maysilee Donner, who was killed by pink bird muttations. In the finale he outsmarted the female tribute from District 1 by manipulating her to throw her axe at the arena's forcefield, resulting in it springing back and decapitating her. As of 75 AR he is still alive age 41. Ethnicity; Scottish American.
