Called "The Hound," Sandor is the younger brother of Ser Gregor Clegane and the fiercely loyal bodyguard of Prince Joffrey. He is a hideously scarred warrior with a brutally cynical attitude, and he hates his brother Gregor more than anything else. Built-up in the first chapters as an unquestioningly obedient and sadistic enforcer of the Lannisters, he evolves into a very complex character.
