Alex Reitherman is like every kid watching TV, an imagilnative but introverted social outcast who has become obsessed with cartoons. He spends every waking moment watching his favorite 90s animated shows, daydreaming about living in those worlds and escaping the pressures of school, friends, and family. While Alex enjoys the joy and escapism of cartoons, he becomes disconnected from reality, losing interest in real-world activities and relationships.
